Summary: Following the battle against Palitutu, all the Heroes of Light were transported into the Interdimensional Rift. They were told by Palitutu they would have to find her to prove they can break the cycle-- But before they could reach their destination, a malevolent entity from the Rift stripped them from their immortality...

And now, they woke up in a decaying and dying world, most specifically in a place called Order's Sanctuary. From there they are ready to jump... Into their homeworlds! Feel free to use this post for the Mingle at Order's Sanctuary and should your homeworld be the stage for the Heroes of Lights' next adventures, feel free to make a thread for it and as many sub-thread as necessary! Please refer to the OOC Post for questions and plotting.

World: Tales of Zestiria | Continent of Glenwood

When you enter the world, it feels as though it’s any typical world out there, but the longer you stick around the more foreboding the things around you are starting to seem. At first it’s just small things like a strange sense of something watching you, followed by the gravel falling off of the half destroyed buildings. The whole village is surrounded by some sort of sadness that you can’t exactly wrap your mind around. Eventually, the feeling becomes something else. You might start feeling a little uncertain or anxious. It’s nothing out of the ordinary really. You realize there is something beyond the silent village in front of you.

Out of nowhere, a large angry animal-like creature jumps at you. Before you could really make any move, something shoots a strip of water the monster’s way, followed by other sounds. The wind picks up around you, the earth shakes and then there’s flares that you’ve never seen before. It’s alright. You aren’t seeing things… or are you? Welcome to Camlann, the Origin Village. You might want to take cautious steps if you can.

[ OOC: as a side note, all individuals who enter the realm of Glenwood, will be unable to see the Seraphim: Edna, Mikleo, and Lailah due to humans being unable to see Seraphim due to their lack of belief and resonance with the Seraphim at first.

If you want to build that resonance throughout their adventures, then feel free to do so and they can start hearing, and such at first. It will be a gradual thing before they can fully see Edna, Lailah and Mikleo fully manifest. They can also ask Sorey to communicate with the Seraphim!

Malevolence however, will be somewhat visible but will follow the same routine. The longer they are in the world, the more able they are to see and feel the negative energy in the world! Also be aware that Heroes of Light will be attacked by monsters called : Hellions. They cannot be purified or eradicated easily. They might have to ask the Shepherd for assistance. Feel free to start your own subthreads! ]

- If you plan on scaling the mountain however, every now and again you might just hear the roar of a rather ferocious sounding dragon getting closer and closer as you approach the peak… Be careful, he doesn’t mess around!

- What a wonderful feeling this is to be soaking

- What’s that burning hot feeling? Oh you just got transported in the middle of a cement ground surrounded by Lava. how do you get out?
- Watch out for the fiery beasts, they’re full of malevolence and ready to consume you. Guess you gotta fight
- Any sort of door will lead you back to Order’s Sanctuary.

- What’s that? You want to see the Water Trials? Well we certainly hope you’ll get something out of it
- Get to know about the previous Shepherd and Diary
- Get caught by the eyes and you’ll be sent back to Order’s Sanctuary.

{ Morgause, Shrine of the Earth Trial }

- What a huge… courtyard, right? Navigate the courtyard and follow the Minotauros to the end
- What’s that rumbling every now and again? Oh, it’s just the Shepherd being you know… the Shepherd.
- Watch out for the Fairies, they will suck the life out of you
- Successfully following the Minotauros to the back of the courtyard will take you right back to Order’s Sanctuary

↳ Camlann - Option A (Also available with PC-played guest star Rose!)

[Hark! Here comes the Shepherd! Or well, here comes a man moving through the crumbling, burned-out village with a stride that screams that he has a purpose. A white cloak billows out behind him like a beacon but probably doesn't mean much to most of the Heroes. Every step he takes is one of determination, one that won't falter.

Until it does when he catches sight of someone admist the vast emptiness that is the village. Sorey doesn't expect to see anyone in Camlann what with the fact that it was abandoned years ago and then sealed off. Malevolence is all around him but that doesn't necessarily mean that this individual is emitting any. It's nearly impossible for him to ignore anyone who might be in Camlann - whether they turn out to be friend or foe. So after nearly stopping in his track completely, he rushes forward until he pulls up short next to them.]

Hey! What are you doing here? It's dangerous.

↳ Camlann - Option B

[At this point he's aware that there are individuals popping up all over this area. Ones who haven't become hellions and as muchas Sorey would like to rush away to save gramps and stop Heldalf, he also can't turn his back on people in need. This means instead of going to fight the last battle against the Lord of Calamity, he's running around Camlann in search of these people.

When he catches sight of one locked in battle with a hellion, he puts on a burst of speed to rush towards them. The hellion swoops down and attack and Sorey moves passed the Hero to block the attack with his blade. He calls out over his shoulder at the Hero.]

Get back! I'll take care of it.

[Sorey can't let these people kill a hellion, he has to purify it.]

↳ Wildcard

[At some point, Sorey can be found all over Glenwood - hopping around from one city to another, to the roads in between and every ruin he knows about thanks to the power of the Lords of the Land. This means he's available for interaction anywhere.]

Camlann - b

[ Mikleo himself didn't exactly know what had happened when he dived through one of the portals leading him straight into Glenwood and facing off one of the hellions on his own wasn't exactly a tough bind.

He almost falls back when he caught sight of the cape that flowed pass him and straight for the hellion. When he parried the beast while all he could do was stare in surprise for a moment, realizing where had landed and what was going on. Of course, being told to stay back and let Sorey take care of it wasn't in his vocabulary. Instead of really listening to him, he rushed forward, spreading his arms wide, and with his staff, he cast a Seraphic Arte.

He can't let Sorey take all the credit right now. He didn't want that to be held against him. There would be plenty of time to gawk and wrap his mind around everything once the problem was solved. ]

Fractured ice! Freeze Lancer!.

[ The hellion in front of the Shepherd gets impaled by shards of ice. Excuse you Sorey, he can totally take care of himself as he half grins at the aim. ]

[Of course he's not actually expecting to see anyone familiar fighting the hellions because most of them were still with him. Honestly, Sorey hadn't even registered that it was his friend fighting because as far as he knew, Mikleo was with him. Apparently not. It had been pure reaction to rush in recklessly without pause to really look at who was the one clashing with the monster. Being so close to the beast doesn't allow for him to take his eyes off of it or he'll be the one in trouble.

So it's Mikleo's voice that he has to recognize which is easy enough considering he knows it better than his own. Sorey almost turns to look at the seraph but the flash of Seraphic Artes is all it takes to realize that it truly was his best friend.

He jumps back after forcing the hellion back until he standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the other and finally turns to look at Mikleo. Now he's distracted seeing as how he didn't remember separating with the seraphim earlier.]

Mikleo! What--!

[There's no time to ask the question burning the tip of his tongue as he brings his sword up to stop an attack from hitting him.]

We'll talk about this later!

[ Maybe he should have payed attention when he passed up the potential civilian when he was trying to fight it? Only no not really, Mikleo's quite aware of how Sorey dives into things in his own way without really noticing things around him sometimes. The other did get distracted so he took no offense to it. However, trying to explain it to Sorey right now at this moment wasn't an option right now.

He was pretty pleased with stunning the monster, but he he's quite aware that it would take more than that to take it down and when their shoulders touched briefly, he had a sense of nostalgia, as if it had been a long time since he had seen the other. Naturally, he would like to let the feelings sink in some more but as the situation was, there was no time for it right now. ]

Look out!

[ He's going to push past the other to push one of the approaching hellions back a few more feet, and swinging his quarterstaff enough to smack its sides. ]

That's exactly what I was thinking!

[ Sorey must have been confused knowing that he was somehow standing here right now while usually he would be residing inside of the other. As soon as Sorey stops the attack, another strong blast of water makes it way towards the hellion, aiming to send it back further and creating some distance between the creature and the two of them. ]

Camlann - B

[Rose isn't far behind Sorey when he stops to see a stranger in even stranger clothes. Strange occurrences don't phase the Squire very much anymore but she'll do everything in her power to protect Sorey.

Even if she has to protect him from unknown entities that didn't appear to emitting malevolence. She'll unleash a Thousand Swords attack to cover the Shepherd and the fleeing hero.]

Take cover until we come back for you.

[She nodded to Sorey before glancing at the person over her shoulder.]

If you see a hellion or anything that doesn't look friendly, run away, you hear me?!

Camlann - B (open to the Seraphim too!)

[When Selphie had jumped through another random portal, she hadn't expected to arrive in a ruined village. Much less a ruined village teeming with monsters and other people. Add in that eerie feeling that the perky brunette was being watched and well... she was on edge to say the least.

And then the Hellions caught onto her scent and started looming in on her location. Selphie knew that she wasn't strong enough to take on all of them at once when a young man rushed to her aid. With her nunchaku in a defensive hold, she cast Fira to try and push the monsters back.]

I can push them back! I dunno who you are but these buggers are too big for one person to handle alone.

[She nodded firmly.]

Lemme help!

Guh, Selphie!!!??

[ Mikleo nearly runs into her but the girl obviously can't see him if anything since he's back in his world with his own abilities. It means back to being invisible from everyone else. Bummer though, since she can't hear him shout when he nearly runs into her as she pops from the portal and manages to stumble back a few feet, holding his quarter staff.

The Seraph's reaction is enough to show Sorey that he knows who the girl is and isn't expecting her to come through the portal the way she did. However, the help would be great, if she were a Shepherd. Unfortunately, she's not, so she can't do much. He's seriously going to have a headache. ]

You can't! It's dangerous!

[ Too bad she can't hear him... ]

Camlann - A

[Lady Maltran now has some serious competition in the busty femme fatale category. Lust turns her head, looking at the wide expanse of lush green grass all around, sprinkled with wildflowers.]

[She looks right.]

[She looks left.]

[Then she turns around, and frowns. She came through this gate with Mikleo and now he's off and vanished. What just happened? Angrily she stalks back toward the portal, but it blinks, leaving her stuck where she stands. Lust's violet eyes narrow in displeasure. This definitely isn't her world, and given that Mikleo isn't here anymore, she's guessing it might be his. He did mention something about Seraphim not being seen by normal people in the past. So is that what this is?]

If you're still here, I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know.

[She settles a hand on her hip and waits patiently. As she does, she at last spots Sorey. Hmmmmmmm... Not a Hero of Light that she recognizes. A native? She chooses to stand there and just. Stare him down. Rude.]

[ Here is Mikleo trying not to face palm at the scene that just played out. Clearly, this was a bad time for the two of them to leap into Glenwood of all places. Naturally, he'd be fine with it when people could see him, but now it's funky because no one can see him except Sorey and Rose right now.

He's going to stare at her as she looks around for him. She doesn't look too pleased with the situation right now but at least she wasn't too pissed off. He can't control what his natural abilities are, especially when he's a Seraph and he's not used to people seeing him in general. So having people see him is a bit surprising on his end. He's finally got used to it and no he's invisible again.

Great. ]

It would be helpful if I could with normal means, but I suppose this will have to do.

[ He speaks mostly to himself as he sends a stream of water towards a set of hellions. ]

[ And whether she can see that or not, the Hellions get knocked off their feet and backwards. ]

[Ah yes, there's nothing relaxing after a hard day of saving the world than soaking in the hot springs. Rose can be found lounging against a large stalagmite, face red from the heat and a towel wrapped around her torso to keep certain wind seraph from getting a free show.]

Ah, this is the best after a long day!

[Are there any ladies who'd like to join her?]

◄ Camlaan, the Origin Village

[For a village that was supposed to be abandoned and sealed off from the rest of the world, there sure were a lot of people in the village. Rose would stop to defend someone against a hellion and would purify the beast in the process before casting a fierce look at the person behind her.]

Get out of here before you get yourself killed! Follow the path behind me out of this village. If you run into another creature like that, run away.

[And then she's off, her twin daggers at the ready to fend off another hellion.]

[ Just as Rose was going after defending people, Mikleo himself was as well. The Heroes of Light that were left to fend for themselves in the continent of Glenwood weren't exactly the best idea for many. He was definitely biting more than he could chew but the exhaustion and tiring acts were nothing compared to the journey that he had gone through with all of these people

He had collected himself and ensured himself that Sorey and the others that he had seen were not of his time. There was information that he probably couldn't tell them. Of course, he didn't know all theories of paradoxes and such but he wouldn't lie to them if they wanted the truth. He was different. Everyone could feel that. There was something different about him, older, wiser and even if he physically didn't look different, he was more mature.

Icicles sent another swarm of hellions falling over as Mikleo rushed to Rose's side, back to back. ]

Don't take this all on your own Rose. Let's do this together.

[ He replied, giving her a brief look before moving out again. He quietly told the people that he ran into to move along as well and run if they can. They were all warriors and fighters but they were no match for the type of things that Mikleo and the others were fighting. ]

Well if we're going down that path then Meebo had best be bringing protection. ;D

[Rose had seen the people that she didn't recognize popping up all Camlann. She'd fended off what Hellions she could from the strangers before strongly suggesting that they leave the area or take cover. The village was supposed to be abandoned so just where were they all coming from?

She'd been squaring off against a Hellion when Mikleo's voice rang through the air. She looked at him with relief before finishing the beast off.]

Yeah! We've got this.

[She crouched low, twin daggers pointed low to the ground before she dashed at the next Hellion who came into her path.]

Hot Springs

[Pyrrha isn't entirely sure what she's supposed to be doing here yet, but hot springs are always a welcome sight. She just hopes she won't be disturbing anyone.]

Oh... I didn't know someone was already here. Should I come back?

[She's already wrapped up in a towel of her own, her long red hair tied up.]

[Rose grinned at Pyrrha and motioned her to in to the water.]

There's plenty of room, come on in!

[Rose eyed the newcomer curiously though. Just who was this?]

I don't think I've seen you around before. Are you new to the area?

[Being back home with other seraphim is a good opportunity for Sorey to catch Rose alone - without their friends hanging about inside of him all of the time. There are some things he wants to talk to her about before he goes to discuss it with the others. Or maybe he feels that he needs the advice of another human and Rose is certainly one of the few he can truly talk to about all sorts of issues. Maybe it's just that he wants her advice as someone who hadn't come from Crystallis like both Mikleo and Edna had.

So it's while they're resting in Elysia that Sorey wanders over to talk to her.]

Hey Rose. [There is clearly something weighing on him that isn't what they have left to do here in this world.]

THAT FACE. Rose will kill anybody who makes that puppy sadface...

[Rose is thinking about more than a few things about their journey on the outskirts of Elysia herself. There'd been more than a few strange encounters recently and while she too had gotten the explanation from Mikleo regarding Crystallis, it was very to believe.

Glenwood was in danger from another world and Mikleo was trying to stop it. Rose may only be Sorey's squire but she knows her friend well enough by now to know that he will want to help end all of this to save all of the worlds. She knows that it's a heavy burden to be the Shepherd but to add the fate of several other worlds onto already heavy shoulders could break her pure-hearted friend.]

Hey... [She pats a spot nearby her to encourage Sorey to sit down.] It looks like you've got something on your mind.

          MORGAUSE.
Somehow that portal had led... to here? Of all places? Collapsing her umbrella, Edna stepped further into the shrine for a look around, not entirely sure this wasn't some kind of illusion. There's no way this was really... Glenwood was there?

Hearing the grunting of the Minotauros in the next room over, Edna stopped in her tracks. She had to be... more careful this time, if this was real.

          HOT SPRINGS.
And why not take a moment to relax, even when multiple worlds were in crisis? Now that Edna had finally regained her natural abilities and with it, the aches and pains that came from Giant's Strength. A session in the hot springs would do her well, and she was already below the surface in no time, basking in its warmth.

Definitely a good idea. So long as everyone could keep things decent.

          RAYFALKE SPIRITCREST.
It was strange, coming back to the mountain range now that she had been gone so long. How could a place that had been your home for so many years feel so foreign now? About mid-way up the path, Edna paused, hearing the distant roar of the dragon overhead.

This was real. All of it. He was real, too.

Edna's hands began to shake, tightening around the handle of her parasol in an attempt to stop them, and biting down on her lower lip.


NOTE ** remember edna will not be seen or heard unless your character has some latent spiritual abilities! working up from her disembodied voice is an option, too. c:

RAYFALKE - was there any doubt about what I'd pick?

Someone is there just up ahead - easily identified by the white cloak that hangs from his shoulders. He too has stopped at the sound of the roar, gaze cast upwards to the top of the mountain where it came from. For a long moment all he does is stand there looking up. Up the rocky path that will allow him to come face-to-face with the dragon that emitted the echoing roar.

It's upsetting that the reason he's here is to put an end to that life but Sorey is not the one who will be affected most by this act. There is one person who will be hurt the most even if she tried not to let it show. But this is it. This is the last time he will climb this mountain before his long sleep even though he's fully aware that things are different - what with the people coming in from Crystallis like Mikleo told him. Once the dragon is fought and defeated, there won't be much purpose for returning.

"We should keep moving." He tried to say it with as much conviction as possible but it's still very obvious that Sorey doesn't like having to do this. Despite how he felt, Sorey was going to do this - it was all he could do for Eizen and Edna and even Zaveid in a way.

If she wanted to turn back and leave this for another day, he'd let her.

Approaching behind both Edna and Sorey was Mikleo. He was thinking about the place himself since the time Edna fell sick and mistook him for her brother. He honestly was surprised by the comment and even now it still lingers on the back of his mind. However, if this was what it took for her to keep pressing forward, he wasn't going to stop her. It's been a rather strange day for him, being thrown into the world that he was taken from.

For a strange reason, he's quite aware that the Edna that he's looking at it is the Edna that he knew from Crystallis. There was something about her that was easy to detect. At least he'll think that until he is proven otherwise. He looks up at the sound of the endless roaring. He'd never thought that he actually would end up back here after so long.

"Do what you feel is necessary Edna. I'm here to assist as well."

He replies after a long moment of silence. There was no doubt that he'd follow after Sorey and the others no matter what way they all decide to go.

[And she's got it all to herself, apparently! Time to sink in and stretch out.]

edna sunk lower into the depths of the spring, her face half-submerged... as she cupped her hands together in front of her, squeezing them together to splatter a makeshift fountain in levy's personal space. )

Lastonbell | Closed to castmates

[After twenty days of running around Glenwood looking for people who have come from the world of Crystallis, Sorey leads the group to Lastonbell. It was the place where he had made his decision to become the vessel for Maotelus so why couldn't it also be the spot where he tells his friends of his next big decision. The only difference is that it isn't night this time but he takes them to the railing anyway and leans his elbows on it, looking up to the sky.]

So I've been thinking a lot since you guys came here from Crystallis. About everything that's happening here and there.]

[Maybe they already can figure out what he's decided to do - they could last time. Sorey turns to look back at them.]

If there's a way for me to go back with you, I'm going to go.

[He's looking at the seraphim at this point seeing as how Rose is in the same situation as he is.]

You're fighting not just for the sake of our world but for other worlds and I want to help as much as I can. Even if I stop Heldalf here there's a chance that our world will still be destroyed and if I'm serving as Maotelus' vessel, I won't be able to do anything to stop it.

[Sorey is not tossing aside his duties as Shepherd away easily, he has thought about this part as well.]

If Mikleo can come back to this point from our future, I should be able to do the same to fight Heldalf. But it could be risky. No matter what, I'll come back and make this world right.

[He's believing in himself - in the others that they'll be successful in saving Crystallis and all of the other worlds at stake. It's crucial that he does if he's going to leave their world with things left unsettled. Sorey is basically putting the future that Mikleo has lived through at risk so he has to believe that they'll win and that he'll come back in time.

[ He knew this day would come, especially being placed in such a situation for almost a month long. They've been treading for answers since the first day that Mikleo and Edna had stepped into their world. Mikleo noticed back then that he could not stop Sorey if he chose to follow them to the other side. He doesn't know what will happen or what might become of Sorey, but he knows that the other will make a decision like this.

Honestly, he feels it will be much better if Sorey stays where he is and continue his journey. However, a part of him is bitterly aware that Sorey will not simply leave the fate of the different worlds to just Mikleo and Edna. It's a huge burden that the two of them will have to bear alone and he knows that it's not something that can easily be done. He's well prepared to take this on by himself with Edna and Lalah. With that being said he doesn't say much for the a long moment.

He remains quiet and attentive, while leaning back on the rail. He knows that Sorey will do what he must in order to accomplish things as the Shepherd. He never does shy away from his duty and Mikleo knows he's not running from it. It's about high time he accepts everything for what it is. Sorey isn't leaving them behind and he's going to go with them back to Crystallis. He certainly hopes this is possible. He's not once think this can happen. ]

Some part of me knew you weren't going to back off that easily. There's no point in arguing with you about the matter. Once you make up your mind, you don't waiver. I suppose we'll have to quickly save Crystallis, the other worlds, and come back and finish what we start here. However, you must understand that even Edna and I have made it here once, it cannot be guaranteed we'll make it here again a second time in this period specifically. We continue to know little to nothing about the rifts and how they function. We don't even know if they will remain closed or open up completely.

[ It wasn't for him to say but he did offer his friend a small smile in spite of the conversation. ]

[Lailah blinks a few times before visibly becoming irritated.]

No.

[Not that he'd listen to her.]

At least, that's my stance.

Over the course of our journey, you've grown a lot, Sorey. There is no denying that. But your home... our home, is here. The only thing worse than us being in another world without you would be for you to willingly follow us into a decaying land, when you have so much more of your life to live ahead of you.

[She shakes her head.]

You can make your own decisions. I'll stand by you regardless. But please, don't make this decision lightly. It would be best if you didn't come.
