A Business Trip to Esdham

Summary: Following Jessie's request, Ales heads to Esdham to help an engineer dismantle a robot the Heroes fought in a previous event. While not at work, he explores the area a bit more.

Summary: With Chiaki out and about and a ton of new people around, Val is doing what she can to socialize with others... It's not that she's bad at it, but today's focus is the new card game she's picked up. But how hard is it to miss a 7 foot woman with about 16 feet of hair

Chiaki was out of town on some adventuring with friends and monsters.  Val wasn't too interested in hunting monsters as a hobby, so she let Chiaki head off while she stayed home to brush up on socializing and her Triple Triad skills. 

And so we find the incredibly tall, impressively long-haired woman staring down at some other player, who's already intimidated by her presence and stature, but not really taken aback by her skill at the game. Or maybe... the fact she had a golden Triad card nestled into her cleavage was doing some intimidating on it's own.  Only a champion had one of those cards!  How would someone playing so poorly get one of THOSE!?

Val is playing and winning on ocassion, but she's only known the game for a few weeks.  Some of the regular players seem to... expect more of her given they've seen her around Chiaki more than once.  Clearly she's being taught but not doing justice to the lessons she's being taught.  At least she's trying...
