Undead Mingle
The twelve Moogles are already there, along with the one wearing a Black Mage hat who is currently holding one of the Black Crystal that was stolen from the Magitek Research Facility past month. They all do seem very busy and working on the upcoming ceremony, something around a black cauldron and whatnot. As such, they won't pay any attention to the characters. ]
Sephiroth
No wonder it had all felt like a dream before, it has been a intertwining web of fabrication all along. But now, upon awakening in the forest, Sephiroth only now understands how deeply the misunderstanding has been rooted into the simple minds of those that would call themselves the Heroes.
The Calamity that they have all been pitted against is no less than the life form that deserves to take all of Crystallis as her own. And this ceremony, will not only make them all understand but it will deliver to him the power to be able to put it right. It only makes sense that it should be him; he is the most capable out of all of them.
Sephiroth watches from an interested distance as the moogles with their leader go about making the preparations. His arms folded lightly as he leans against one of the trunks. Observing, supervising, gleaming eyes making sure that it all goes exactly as it's supposed to.
Of course the others will perform their parts, as required of them - and bring all those still with their minds mired in fog to this place in order for them to know the truth. How can they not. It is the right way for it all to go from here. With him at the helm, the destiny that was stopped all of those hundreds of years ago will finally be fulfilled. The fact that they will all have to die, that it will all have to be destroyed first is as natural as breathing and it doesn't bother him at all. Necessary sacrifice.]

Living Mingle
The Heroes of Light are summoned to the Crystal by panicked Moogles who realized they'd rather risk death by calling for help than sitting and waiting to die anyway. They hope the Heroes of Light may know what to do-- Unfortunately their hopes are somewhat misplaced. Wedge, Jessie, Biggs and Artemicion are by the Crystal of Fire and can be questioned, though they do not know yet about Satoru's letter.
Wedge will give the affected Heroes a Megalixir to use immediately-- It will make them feel as though the symptoms are gone, but the effects will slowly vanish. At best, it'll help them go through one Boss Battle without feeling down. ]

[There was a theory that he'd heard that the large crystal the Heroes appeared by had something to do with the events of the past couple of weeks, and it seemed that it actually was true.]

It was a test of her penitence and she was running out of it. Her hair was a bit frazzled in its braid as she stalked around town in her Palidin gear. She still hadn't gotten the guts up to try and summon a Chocobo yet.]

That megalixer is a lifesaver though. She drinks it slowly, feeling her sickness ebb away. When she feels well enough, she looks up at the nearest person.]

Zelda ~ Living Mingle
Her eyes scan the square for other heroes as they slowly arrive. She notices those that are sick and can't help but wonder if its connected as well.
Zelda tries her best to smile at those passing by but she can't stop her worry from showing.
Kopu flies around her frantically flapping his wings as he freaks out.]

Kid!
She had her dagger in her hand, sharpening it evenly as she glanced up every now and then, still completely unconvinced she was one of these 'heroes of light' but all the same, unable to turn her back completely on those still alive. Strange things were happening, people dying left and right, sickness abound, and wasn't some guy turning into a monster?
"Tch," the blonde cursed under her breath, wondering how she managed to get caught up in things like this all the time.

Yeul
Yeul stops at the edge of the commotion around the crystal of fire and waits. One hand rests over her heart as she silently watches the moogles and people passing by. She wants to see a future with everybody smiling.
She is wrapped in a dark cloak that almost matches the hue of her dark blue hair. Her hair is left loose to blow in the wind while her expression remains serious. She looks out for Hibiscus who had been left alone after her death but frowns slightly when her moogle doesn't come into view.]

She gracefully lands a few feet away from Yuel and removes the hood hiding her face. Her eyes watch the people and moogles passing by. Once in while, they glance towards where Yeul stands. Sparks Nevada
Sparks stands guard over them, arms folded, a serious look on his face. He's wearing his paladin armor and his robot fists. It looks like he might be ready for a fight, if anyone gets close. For now, he's keeping a close eye on the Moogles, and on Genesis. They better not mess this up. It was critical that this ritual succeeds, and Sparks is going to make sure it happens.]

Genesis Avatar
To become the dew that quenches the land
To spare the sands, the seas, the skies
I offer thee this silent sacrifice
[ He tossed it back into the pile and turned on his heel, his coat flaring out around him. Energy sparked up along his body as he spread his arms open, his single wing stretching out as well. A pulse of light, a sharp intake of breath and Genesis became something more. Half buried in the ground, the huge creature brought its sword down in front of it and several shadowy forms appeared where it sat. Five of them stayed by Genesis Avatar but the rest moved to stand with the bosses. ]

Sephiroth (Prior Boss-Battle)
He can't help but smile, mostly to himself as Genesis' shadowy forms began to mill around his position before the ritual arrangement in the eerie purple lighting of the clearing. While there is a mist around, it wasn't softening the definition with which he looked around. In fact, he fancied he could feel the power building in the air; all of it that would be his upon the completion of the ceremony here. To enact the Calamity's will.
The climax was on the way, the Heroes should be arriving soon. Sephiroth found himself waiting eagerly in anticipation for their arrival; he has no illusion over the fact that there might be those weak-willed enough to consider to try to stop them -so entirely controlled by Biggs, Wedge and Jessie- but in the end whether by his blade or his words, the outcome has to be the same. They will all have to be destroyed, either way.]

Tifa Lockhart | Prior to Boss Battle
The familiar sound of materia clicking into the hollowed out recesses in her mitts echoes while the din of her other companions drowns out the silence of the woods. That glow, the comforting, reassuring hum of light is the only thing standing by her now when she needs all the support she can get. There's a bit of fear at the back of her thoughts, the realization that those whom she had been close with might come to the clearing.
Out of sight, out of mind. Would she see him? Would he be so clueless as to try and object to what she's been charged with? It was her responsibility, no.. THEIR responsibility to see that The Calamity come to be. If Cloud or Yuffie tried to stop her, could she bring herself to quell their insurrection?
The cracking of her knuckles, the resolve evident in her smirk, the way she cackles under her breath when she finds her fear laughable, all of it giving credence to her decision. There was no other way to make them see, and if it meant killing to see this to the end, so be it.]

Snow Villiers [in prep for boss battle]
Stepping away from the center of the clearing, he headed towards the tree line in order to get a better vantage point. There was a lot here that he didn't understand in terms of procedure, but then again, he didn't really need to understand. The moogles and Genesis seemed to have everything under control. Snow would've just been in the way if he was any closer than the very edges of the clearing.
He would be lying if he tried to say he didn't feel anxious, though. The others would be here soon. What if they didn't get the message right? What if they wouldn't help? What if they wouldn't listen?
The wounds were too fresh. The Black Crystal had restored his control and his sentience, even though the powers of a l'Cie and Cie'th still stirred within him, but it wouldn't be able to restore everyone if they turned. What a god awful situation to be in. Either destroy the world or go Cie'th. It was just like Cocoon all over again. He wouldn't stand for it. People aren't meant to be used as tools, especially not for something as horrifying as this. Death would be a better option for all of them.
How could he convince the other Heroes of that - convince Serah? And if it came down to it, would he be able to pull the trigger on her, too? He would have to. Maybe five hundred years ago, he would've sung a different tune, but now, after all that had happened, he knew for sure. Snow would rather end Serah's life than force her to live out the rest of it as a Cie'th. He wouldn't let her or anyone else be someone's puppet. Not again.
Not ever again.]

Shun Aonuma: Prior to Boss Battle
Satoru's face only served as a reminder of Shun's main reason for keeping his mind on the goal, there. Saki...
They had to be successful, or else...she truly was doomed. After everything he had heard, however, an ache filled his chest just from thinking about her. She was suffering, anyway, because of...him. Then, there was the matter of Maria and Mamoru. They could be...
...No, he couldn't think about it! Shun's jaw tensed and he glanced back in the direction from which he'd just come. Getting emotional, just like with doubt, would only serve to distract. He would put himself in even more risk of diverting from their goal. Their quest. Other people's lives depended on them, and so...they needed to focus. He would go and speak to Satoru, first, and find out where he stood.
While standing in place, he was going to tighten a hand into one fist. For a moment, his face flickered with emotion; immediately after, it forcibly calmed.

Boss-battle: Sephiroth
Quicker than any had ever seen him move, he lunges forwards in a swift motion to meet Zelda halfway - the gleaming length of Masamune slipping through her middle as if it were a knife into hot butter. Without any hesitation as if it were more of an afterthought than an action he had premeditated. Holding his position there, with the hilt between them and the blade stained deep scarlet as it protrudes from the back of Zelda's body, he's peering over her shoulder at the other Heroes and Sephiroth sneers as the smell of blood does indeed start to add to the unnerving aura of the clearing while the ritual continues behind him.]
I told you. Do not seek to interfere.
[And then, much slower he steps back and draws his weapon free of her. It's as if he's using it to lead Zelda into being laid out on the grass before his feet before he looses her completely and with a sharp flick of the blood from his blade to one side he raises it once more - now poised like a great stinger out towards the others as he dares them to try to attack him.
This is going to be fun. After all, they are all going to have to die anyway.]
Boss-battle: Sephiroth
Zelda can't see past her own confusion as her bright blue eyes look up at Sephiroth's towering form. This can't happen now. Her vision blurs as he pulls his sword from her chest and she falls limp to the ground. A loud ringing tone echoes in her ear as she slowly slips from consciousnesses. Her heart beat gradually lessens until her fragile form lays motionless on the grass.
A breath later, her pale skin is slowly being covered by the shining crystal veneer.]

BOSS BATTLE: Shun Aonuma
Brainwashing.
There was a slow, brief tilting of his head at Sparks. Quietly, he watched the older man struggle. The narrowing of the eyes had a tiny red flag setting up within his mind. Then...the look of suspicion. So, he had failed to come completely out of it. Very well...it was unfortunate, but it seemed that they were minus another comrade.
Feeling the grab to the back of his shirt, Shun turned and offered Yeul a reassuring look. Lifting one hand, he rested it on the top of her head, briefly. As it dropped, Shun was giving Sparks a serious look, "It appears you've managed to slip back into the very clutch of lies that holds the others...Very well."
Considering the importance of...all of this, they could not risk Sparks fully returning to the opposite side. Satoru's presence had somehow managed to have him feeling...even angrier, for some reason. He could not explain it; he wasn't angry at Satoru. It was as though something had happened, regarding him, that he couldn't remember. It was irrelevant, though, wasn't it? For the sake of protecting his world -- protecting everyone on it, he had to focus on snapping the older man out of the control he was under. Or, even should they fail to do that...worse.
"You leave me no choice." And, with that, he drew his blade.
no subject
It gave him a sick feeling. This was wrong, Shun wasn't a fighter, and clearly from how Yeul sought comfort in his presence she too wasn't particularly ready for a battle.
Without another thought he lifts an arm in front of his boyfriend’s chest, stopping him. "I'll take care of this..." But the smile that once graced his face was completely gone now, replaced with trained eyes of a hunter. But when he turns to face Sparks his eyes showed nothing but blood thirst, usually wine colored eyes taking on a redder hue to reflect the switch.
This was going to be fun~
"..Master Satoru?" The white moogle asked, worried about that glint in the boys eyes. Oh he almost forgot about Yuki... "Best you stay back." The moogle opens its mouth to ask another question but then silently closes it before flying back and landing on Yeul's Shoulder instead. There was something very scary about Mr. Asahina right now. And his fear was proven to be true as a twisted grin runs over his face and his hands lift, the ground surrounding them shaking before the land lifted sharply into the sky creating a circular wall to surround them all. This was to keep Spark's in and those who may wish to interfere out. He then closed his fists and appeared to be pulling something in, and patches in the rock/dirt walls gathers and sharpens into numerous and very dangerous spikes.
This combination clearly took a large amount of energy to perform, Satoru's breathes coming out rougher but it felt necessary for their purposes. They had to try and bring Spark's back to their side, he was important to the ritual. But his eyes clearly said that if he attacks the boy will attack back...and perhaps it was this thought that was really causing his loss of breath and the tightening in his chest.
“Snap out of it, is whatever delusion they implanted in your mind really more important than saving the world?”

Tifa Lockhart | Boss Battle
The spells are easily avoidable, a simple dodge or duck would see them safe, but if the spells do meet their mark it will do quite a bit more than singe or warm their limbs. It's a small attack for now, the appetizer to the entree soon coming.
Re: Tifa Lockhart | Boss Battle
